The Family Law Pathways Network Tasmania Conference was held in Hobart in March 2021, involving over 200 Network members from the broader family law sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference centred around a unique family case study addressed by 6 distinguished speakers and a series of forum panellists from the Network throughout the day. Conference attendees were presented with a film featuring the case study, screened at the beginning of the day, complemented by dramatic performances from our case study family characters to add a human and engaging element to topics discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference also featured Darren Mort of the To Be Loved Network and Vincent Papaleo of Vincent Papaleo as guest speakers, presenting the short film ‘Tommy’ and following discussion regarding the importance of children having a voice in family law matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the day, as guests arrived and during breaks, conference attendees were able to browse an expo of 25 organisations, gaining resources, learning of specific services, and making professional referral connections. All presentations were filmed, and are now ongoing educational resources for Network members on the Family Law Pathways Network Tasmania website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event’s feedback survey showed a satisfaction rating of 4.8\/5, and an overwhelming response that attendees felt they had learned something valuable on the day, achieved a greater insight into other services, and made many professional connections with programs and professionals who can assist their clients in the family law realm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
