Family Law Pathway Network celebrates 20 years

In 2024, the Family Law Pathway Networks (FLPN) celebrated 20 years of dedicated service across Australia’s family law system.

There are 32 networks across the country, each sharing the same mission: to enhance collaboration and coordination among organisations and professionals operating within the family law sector.

The networks provide local family law professionals opportunities to strengthen relationships, establish referral pathways and increase their understanding of the services available within the sector. They also encourage best practice in supporting families as they navigate the challenging time of separation.

…to enhance collaboration and coordination among organisations and professionals operating within the family law sector.

To mark this milestone, the Tasmanian FLPN hosted an anniversary reception at the Lord Mayor’s Court Room in Hobart’s Town Hall. This was a fantastic way to not only acknowledge, but also celebrate 20 years of continued funding and support for those professionals working in the family law system.

The event welcomed distinguished guests including the Lord Mayor of Hobart, Councillor Anna Reynolds, and Her Excellency, the Honourable Barbara Baker AC and her husband Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers who have all made significant contributions to Family Law in Tasmania. There were numerous other professionals in the family law sectors in attendance from past and current FLPN Officers, steering committee members and legal practitioners.

The evening was a huge success with many meaningful discussions and reflections taking place. It was particularly inspiring to see the professionals come together to celebrate and reaffirm their commitment to supporting families during difficult times of separation.
