Every year on May 17th, RA Tas acknowledges the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex Discrimination and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

It’s a day to reflect on and raise awareness around the LGBTIQA+ community, acknowledging the ongoing impact of discrimination and exclusion within this community. This year, we continued our longstanding partnership with Working It Out as a major community sponsor for the 2024 Dorothies Awards breakfast, which highlights best practices and encourages organisations and service providers to excel in creating a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTIQA+ Tasmanians. The theme for this year’s awards focused on recognising Excellence in LGBTIQA+ Inclusion in Government Departments/Agencies.
